My son's thinking never fails to amaze me! When asked to count to ten he tells me, "One, Two, Three, Nine, Ten!" Hmm... Well, we're half there!
On my continued search for my clay "niche." I have made a new dragon and some other small animals but I just haven't found that spot yet. I feel like I'm close though!

Mixed Feelings
So, I had an MRI last week and today I received the results - I'm normal.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in May of 2007. I had a positive MRI and positive spinal fluid. There is no cure for MS. And yet today they tell me all my lesions are gone... I no longer have MS. They always said they're 95% sure. Well, guess what? I'm in that 5%. They said my lesions are not acting like those of MS. In MS they leave scars... "holes" in the spine. Those scars are permament... but instead of scaring, my lesions disappeared completely. Maybe it's a miracle.
Naturally I should be very excited, but I"m not. I'm just numb. I think because I don't have anything to call my symptoms now. I still have Fibromyalgia. Still easily tire from heat and physical labor. Still have memory problems. Still have muscle spasms and twitches. And I still get quite dizzy sometimes with sensitivity to sound and motion. Can Fibro really cause all of that?
So.. today I just don't know what to think.

Still Searching...
Well, it's been a few days! I've completed the lighthouse and completed my follow-up project - a dragon bust. Next, I'm going to try my hand at clocks... I"m still searching for that "niche." I enjoy the clay so much, I like doing all the different things I've tried - from miniatures, to canes and sculpting... but I'm searching for that one thing I'm really good at.
Not much more to say than that, except that today I got a new movie to add to the collection... Atlantis (the Disney one). I always did like that movie and Riley (my son) enjoyed it too! One of the things I enjoy the most is watching movies with him. Now all I need is .. Hercules, Pocahantas, The Little Mermaid and ... oh man, this list is getting long. Nevermind!

Another Sleepless Night
The title says it all! At least I'm doing a little better than the nights before.
Time to learn a little more about me! I'm 25 years old, approaching my one-year wedding anniversary and I am the mother for a 4 year old boy named Riley. He is my sunshine! May of 2007 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which is, briefly, a disease of the central nervous system where it is thought the body attacks the myelin sheaths surrounding your nerves, interrupting nerve impulses to cause an array of systems. I've also had Fibromyalgia develope out of this. I have an upcoming MRI in September and we'll see how that goes. I may be switching medication because they believe I am progressing at a quicker pace than originally anticipated.
I spend my days at home with my Riley. There are things I do to take my mind off of the pain and one of those is polymer clay. It's become a new passion for me and at night my mind races making it impossible to fall asleep easily. New ideas flood my mind and then suddenly now I find myself somewhat overwhelmed with all the things I want to make. Slowly but surely, though, I'll eventually have them all created. Some of my art can be seen at the www.flickr.com/photos/michello454 website.
On a lesser scale (not much!) Reading books (typically fantasy), Music of nearly sort, World of Warcraft (and other video games to a lesser extent), and movies. We have a fair collection of about 150 DVDs and growing.
Last night, before I went to bed, I was once again searching websites to find dragons to add to my "Dragon Wish-List" and I came across the most... incredibly awesome thing I think I've ever seen. I can only IMAGINE what something like this costs. http://www.dragon-art-work.com/custom-statue-art-request-form.cgi is the link. This website claims, "We create some of the highest quality dragon statue art and we have all the artistic talents it takes to make and deliver wood dragon carvings and sculptures to our clients worldwide."
They actually will create a sculpture made from one of several types of mediums to choose from. You give them specifications - how big, what it's too look like, the position it's in, etc. etc. and they will make it. In the link posted above, there is a picture of an owner next to his 7 foot tall dragon creation. So, before I die, I will make it a personal goal to get two dragons created to guard my home (whenever we actually get a house!)
Polymer Clay - What's On Michelle's Current Creation Agenda?
Currently I'm working on a lighthouse! I have no idea why but I saw a magnet with a lighthouse on it and I thought to myself, "I could do that." And so I am trying! I hope to have a post up on Flickr in a few days.

Hello!
So today I took a couple hours break from cleaning, re-organizing and playing with clay to search the net and I came across this awesome website! http://www.medievalcollectibles.com/
For anyone who is a lover of all things medieval and anything in between, this is a great site. There's costumes, jewelry, accessories, weapons and armor - both collectable and those for practical use, collectables and best of all an absolute wonderful assortment of dragons!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
